Stefanovic has come out of retirement to play for the Hawks
Blue Square Bet South side Havant & Waterlooville have signed former Portsmouth captain Dejan Stefanovic on a short-term deal.
The 36-year-old ex-Serbia international made 125 appearances during his five-year spell at Fratton Park.
The defender made his English league debut in 1995 for Sheffield Wednesday and went on to have spells at Fulham and Norwich City.
He retired from the game earlier this year after a series of knee injuries.
Stefanovic made 72 appearances for Wednesday before joining Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem.
He arrived at Portsmouth under Harry Redknapp's reign in 2003, after Pompey had won promotion to the Premier League.
The Serbian then moved to Fulham in a £1m deal, but failed to make an impression at Craven Cottage, starting just 13 league games.
Norwich City swooped for the defender and he joined them in 2008 but was dogged by injury and left by mutual consent a year later.
Stefanovic has been training at Westfield Park for the last two weeks and will go straight into Saturday's side for the FA Cup clash with Dorchester United on Saturday.
