Lowestoft Town joint manager Ady Gallagher has no concerns after seeing his side draw 1-1 with Canvey Island.
The Trawler Boys remain top of the Ryman Premier despite the result against the Essex side on Tuesday.
Gallagher told BBC Radio Norfolk: "The performance was disappointing but when you weigh everything up the whole season's been OK.
"We're top of the table 10 games in and we're whinging about a draw at home, but that's the way it goes sometimes."
He added: "We know that if we play at our best we should pick up plenty of points, we'll probably play better than we did last night and lose games."
Gallagher handed another late cameo to former Norwich City winger Adrian Forbes after his goal-scoring appearance against Wealdstone on Saturday.
"His pace, strength and running with the ball caused them a few problems," said Gallagher.
"I think there's a lot more to come from Adie, it's just trying to build up his match fitness so he's ready for an assault on the three quarters of the season that's left.
It's a big game because Sutton are a very good side but in terms of the whole season it's just one game out of 42

"He just felt when he came to the club he was lacking a little bit of match sharpness."
Town head into a top of the table clash at the weekend when they host second-placed Sutton United.
Gallagher is playing down the importance of the fixture even though both sides have 22 points and United have a game in hand.
"It's a big game because Sutton are a very good side but in terms of the whole season it's just one game out of 42," he said.
"The level of players we've got at the club know when they're playing against the real top opposition and there is an air of expectation.
"'People know they have to play well in the big games to get results."
Meanwhile the club hope to have Matt Nolan back in contention soon after the striker stepped up his recovery from a knee injury.
