Alfreton Town manager Nicky Law wary of complacency
Law has steered his side to nine league wins out of ten
Alfreton Town boss Nicky Law has warned against complacency after his side's fine response to their first league defeat and subsequent FA Cup exit.
The Reds were beaten by Boston in the Blue Square Bet North and then lost their FA Cup replay to Stalybridge.
The league leaders bounced back to beat the same opposition on Saturday.
But Law said: "We have had a brilliant start, but we can't sit on that. We haven't been at our best in the three games prior to the Stalybridge game."
Law, who has signed midfielder Laurie Wilson for a second spell at the club, added: "We responded well, it was a good win for us against a good team which, if I am honest, is the best side we have played this season."
The position we are in, and our target of promotion, means we can't afford to give players three or four chances when they are below par

The 2-1 away win made it nine league wins from ten and sent Law's men four points clear at the top of the table.
Law said: "I told the players after the FA Cup defeat that we weren't happy with the level of performance from them.
"Changes are not a threat, they are necessary if some of the players aren't performing. If it means moving players on to bring new ones in, then that is what I will have to do and that is why we have moved to bring in Laurie Wilson.
"It is all about getting a reaction from the few who aren't doing it. The position we are in, and our target of promotion, means we can't afford to give players three or four chances when they are below par."
