Harrogate Town get first win of season against Solihull
Graeme Armstrong signed for Harrogate Town from Gateshead
Harrogate Town beat Solihull Moors 2-0 in the Blue Square Bet North to record their first win of the season.
Liam Hardy opened the scoring after just 75 seconds, his third goal in three games.
Graeme Armstrong added a second goal from the penalty spot in the second half for his third of the season.
Manager Simon Weaver told BBC Radio York: "It gives us all a big confidence boost ahead of two difficult games, Workington away and Boston at home."
He added: "I'm so delighted to claim those three points and I thought it was thoroughly deserved.
"It really was a start-stop game and the officials got involved every two seconds it seemed.
"Solihull put us under a little bit of a test from set pieces and corners.
"I thought that the goalkeeper and all the defensive players in those areas dealt with all the crosses very well. That's credit for the way the team defended as a whole."
Weaver also had praise for the goal scorers: "They'll be in the goal scoring charts for our league and it's great. It's very healthy for us."
Harrogate Town's next game is away at Workington in Blue Square Bet North.
