Grays Athletic to play in Ryman Division One North
Grays Athletic will play the 2010/11 season in Ryman Division One North, following a meeting at Wembley.
The Football Association, Ryman League and Grays finally reached an agreement over a dispute over their planned groundshare that has lasted since May.
The Essex side were told their plan to play at East Thurrock did not meet league criteria earlier this month.
But they have now been allowed to play in Ryman Division One North and groundshare for two seasons.
Grays were relegated from the Blue Square Premier last season but opted not to play in the Blue Square South for financial reasons.
They successfully appealed for a Ryman League spot in June after the Football Association said they had failed to submit the relevant paperwork on time.
But it then emerged that their groundshare with East Thurrock was not valid and Grays faced a future in the Essex Senior League.
However, it now appears the groundshare has been approved and Grays will play in Ryman Division One North, subject to the approval of the FA's Leagues Committee which meets on Friday afternoon.
