Refereeing cost us, says Gainsborough boss Brian Little
Little's side were moments away from keeping a fifth successive clean sheet
Gainsborough Trinity manager Brian Little felt poor refereeing decisions played a part in the 1-0 defeat by Eastwood Town in Blue Square North.
Substitute David Brown scored the only goal in the 90th minute to end the Blues' unbeaten run of seven games.
Little told BBC Lincolnshire: "We're convinced there was a foul on Andrew Boyce on the edge of the box, and then the scorer was two yards offside.
"We were strong, organised and never looked like conceding."
Trinity's best chance came when Darren Williams missed from close range on the hour, although Little also felt they should have been awarded a penalty in added time.
When a run comes to an end, if you're well beaten you can understand it but I thought our attitude was spot on and we're gutted that we lost the game

"Even their lad was saying: 'But I only got one hand on it'," he quipped.
"I'm not knocking the ref because he's a decent man who's made a mistake, but their goal should never have counted and it's a big blow to us.

Despite the defeat, Gainsborough are now mathematically safe from relegation following Harrogate Town's 1-0 defeat at Hyde United.
Elsewhere in Lincolnshire, Boston United climbed to second in the Unibond Premier Division after a 4-1 win at Hucknall Town.
Marc Newsham scored twice to take his tally to 25 for the season, with Danny Davidson and Spencer Weir-Daley also on target.
In the Unibond First Division South, the two Lincolnshire derbies went the way of the visiting teams, with Grantham Town beating Lincoln United 2-0 at Ashby Avenue and Stamford winning 3-1 at Spalding United.
