Nuneaton Town close gap on leaders Farnborough

Nuneaton Town's faint Southern League Premier Division title hopes were given a boost with a 2-0 victory at Truro.

With leaders Farnborough going down 2-1 at home to Stourbridge, second-placed Boro closed the gap to 12 points.

Goals from James Armson and Chris Dillon either side of the interval wrapped up all three points for Nuneaton who have two games in hand.

Leamington slipped to fifth in the table after they were leap-frogged by Brackley Town who beat the Brakes 1-0.

Rugby Town stay rooted to the bottom after a 1-0 defeat at Evesham United.

In Division One, Midlands Bedworth United maintained their unbeaten run with a point from a six-goal thriller at Marlow.

Atherstone Town were beaten 2-1 by Hitchin Town at Sheepy Road.
