Coventry City Ladies celebrate winning the Midland Combination title
Coventry City Ladies clinched the Midland Combination title with a 3-0 win at rivals Sporting Club Albion.
Helen Dermody gave the visitors the lead on seven minutes when she turned in a Jade Fomaston cross.
Coventry's Leanne McKenna missed a first half penalty before Robyn James doubled the lead against her old club.
Dermody secured her brace from the Sky Blues' second spot-kick of the afternoon to seal the victory and the league title.
Manager Paul Cudby said: "This has been a huge amount of work in the making.
It's been a tremendous challenge and at times it was very tough

"Everything that the staff had said to the players had been worked on and again today we've worked incredibly hard against a very good Sporting Club side.
"The spirit and desire that the players have shown when our backs have been against the wall has been what's ultimately seen us through," he added.
"It's been a tremendous challenge and at times it was very tough but we've always responded to the challenges that we've had and that's very pleasing."
City have three more matches left to play and take on Coventry's other outfit, Copsewood, on Wednesday as they look to complete an unbeaten league season.
Copeswood go into the game off the back of a 2-1 home victory over Loughborough Foxes.
