The Walks at King's Lynn
The Walk's will host King's Lynn Town FC's games next season

King's Lynn Town FC will be the new kids on the block next season.

The newly formed Linnets held their first supporters forum last Friday where the name was unanimously agreed.

I gather it was, at times, a rather 'strained' meeting as there were obviously a number of questions asked of the new regime.

Hopefully all parties can now work together with one aim - to get a team from King's Lynn competing once again.

Unfortunately they won't know until May which league they will be playing in. This is when the AGMs take place and when member clubs will vote on whether they are willing to accept them.

It was good to see Lowestoft Town get back to winning ways in Ryman Division One North.

The Blues won 3-0 at Great Wakering Rovers to end a difficult week on a high, having been beaten heavily (5-0) at Concord Rangers on Tuesday and then being knocked out of the League Cup on Thursday.

The win at Rovers puts Lowestoft two points clear at the top of the table.

There wasn't too much to smile about unfortunately in the Ridgeons Premier Division.

Only FA Vase semi-finalists Wroxham managed to get any points.

The Yachtsmen beat Debenham LC 1-0 at Trafford Park courtesy of a Gary Gilmour strike, while there were defeats for Dereham Town, Norwich United and Kirkley & Pakefield.

On the subject of the Vase, Wroxham have been forced to play the away leg at Whitehawk on Sunday, 28 March.

Apparently, Sussex police advised they would be unable to properly steward the game if it was on the Saturday as it clashed with a Brighton home game.
