Thompson took over at Treyew Road following Sean McCarthy's departure

Truro City manager Steve Thompson has said he believes his side still have a chance of making the play-offs.

After taking four points from their last two games, the Tigers are up to 12th in the Southern Premier League.

Thompson told BBC Cornwall: "It's still alive because there's so many games to go but it's going to need a good run."

However Truro's next scheduled match against Merthyr Tydfil on Tuesday evening has been postponed because of a frozen pitch in Wales.
