Worcester City have edged dangerously close to the Blue Square South relegation zone after going down 2-0 to Havant and Waterlooville.
Two defensive lapses by the hosts were capitalised by Jon MacDonald after 33 minutes and Paul Hinshelwood midway through the second half.
City's only real chance came in the first-half when striker Rob Elvins hit the post.
The defeat leaves Worcester just two points away from the drop zone.
City avoided falling into 20th place after fellow strugglers Lewes were beaten 2-0 at home by Chelmsford.
