Worcester caretaker manager Carl Heeley says that City need to cut out the defensive mistakes that are threatening to wreck their progress.
City surrendered a 2-1 lead in Monday's 3-2 defeat by Braintree.
Heeley told BBC Hereford & Worcester: "I am looking for a response from the guys. They were disappointed not to get anything from the Braintree game.
"We matched and even dominated them for periods and that is a side that went second in the league."
Worcester will be looking to bounce back from the Braintree defeat when they take on Havant & Waterlooville on Saturday, but may have to do without injured captain Tom Kemp.
"He woke up one morning this week with a trapped nerve in his neck and shoulder and we are hoping that as quickly as it came it will go again," said Heeley.
"He has been getting treatment throughout the week but he is still struggling.
"It could be one of those that he wakes up on Saturday morning and is fine but there are no guarantees."
