Barrow midfielder Andy Bond booked his side's place in the last eight of the FA Trophy after his cross-shot earned a 3-2 win at Gateshead.
The Bluebirds bounced back from an early Gateshead goal from James Sinclair to level when Jason Walker won and then scored a penalty kick.
Carl Jones' own goal then gave Barrow the lead before half-time, before Daryl Clare's second-half equaliser.
But Bond's strike sealed a home tie with York for Barrow on 20 February.
