Despite taking an early lead in Northamptonshire, Truro were undone by a resurgent Brackley on Tuesday.
Andy Taylor hit home for City after eight minutes, before the home side responded with Owen Storey scoring two quick-fire goals.
Aaron Pugh then clawed a goal back for Truro to level the scores at half-time.
Tom Winters proved to be the match winner for Brackley, scoring twice late on, before Stewart Yetton came off the bench to grab a consolation for Truro.
The defeat leaves the Tigers 13th in the Southern Premier League, 12 points adrift of the play-off places.
