AFC Telford United midfielder Liam Blakeman injured his ankle in training
AFC Telford United manager Rob Smith is keeping his fingers crossed over the fitness of midfielder Liam Blakeman for Saturday's home game against Eastwood.
The Bucks midfielder is struggling to overcome an ankle problem, manager Rob Smith confirming: "Liam's injury has flared up again."
Blakeman has scored five goals from midfield for the Bucks this season.
"We're a different team when he plays. He's the one player who can open teams up," Smith told BBC Radio Shropshire.
"He's probably been our best player this season."
Fellow midfielder Chris Nurse (hamstring) and Stuart Whitehead (hamstring) are also rated doubtful to play against Eastwood.
Telford go into the game ninth in the Blue Square North table - seven points adrift of the play-off pack.
