AFC Telford United slumped to their second away defeat in four days as they were easily beaten at Haig Avenue by second-placed Southport.
The Bucks should have been ahead at the break, but top scorer Andy Brown missed from the penalty spot.
And Matty McGinn's second-half brace, bolstered by an injury-time effort from Chris Simm, secured Southport's win.
Telford have slid seven points off the play-offs, having now lost three Blue Square North games in a row.
Bucks boss Rob Smith told BBC Radio Shropshire: "What's costing us is individual mistakes. It's mistakes all the time."
