Boston United boss Rob Scott praises Sheffield FC win
Boston United joint-manager Rob Scott believes the 2-0 cup win over Sheffield FC was a good way to ease back into action after a three-week lay-off.
Saturday's victory at York Street saw the Pilgrims through to the quarter-finals of the UniBond Challenge Cup.
Scott told BBC Lincolnshire: "It blew the cobwebs away and it was a good fitness exercise.
"I thought the first half we played some good football, in the second half I think we did what we had to do."
Mikel Suarez and Marc Newsham scored first-half goals in a game which was only arranged after Boston's planned match in the league at Retford was called off on Friday.
Scott said: "I didn't think we looked in danger. It was a good workout and after a few weeks off I thought they looked good and sharp and lively.
"I want to win it. I want to win anything that we're put into. It's an opportunity to win some silverware - we want to win this, the Lincolnshire Cup and the league," he added.
