Nuneaton Town bowed out of the FA Trophy following their 2-1 first-round defeat at Workington.

The home side took the lead courtesy of Gareth Arnison before Rob Oddy levelled for Boro from the penalty spot in the first half.

Town were denied a replay at Liberty Way when Phil McLuckie grabbed the winner five minutes from time.

In the Southern League Premier Division there were victories for both Rugby Town and Leamington.

Gez Murphy scored on his debut as Valley won for the first time in the league this season, winning 3-1 at Clevedon Town. Sam Youngs and Liam Nicell were also among the goals.

Mark Bellingham bagged a brace for Brakes in their 2-0 success at Hemel Hempstead.

In Division One Midlands, Atherstone Town were beaten 3-0 at Chesham while Brian Cope's first match in charge of Bedworth United also ended in defeat. The Greenbacks were beaten 1-0 at Biggleswade.

In the Midland Alliance there were wins for Coleshill Town, Studley and Stratford Town.
