Worcester boss Richard Dryden says his side need to continue their unbeaten run at Welling on Saturday to pull themselves away from bottom four.
City are currently one place above the relegation zone but level on points with third-bottom Weston-super-Mare.
"Managers and players I speak to say we are too good to go down, but we are not too good to go down," Dryden told BBC Hereford & Worcester.
"We are fourth from bottom, so we have to pull our fingers out."
City have salvaged two points from their last two league games and have also had cup successes, beating local rivals Redditch 4-1 in the Worcestershire Senior Cup and Burnham in the FA Trophy.
"We keep saying what a good side we are, what competitive side we are, and we want to keep our recent good run going," Dryden added.
Welling United v Worcester City will be a featured in Sport on Saturday on BBC Hereford & Worcester on Saturday, 5 December.
