Dryden aims to turn season around

Richard Dryden is looking for the side to build on the FA Trophy win

Worcester City manager Richard Dryden knows his side need to start winning games quickly if they are to breathe life back into their season.

City host Bishops Stortford at St George's Lane on Saturday hoping to win to get away from the bottom three.

And Dryden admits: "We probably have only ourselves to blame. But we're very disappointed about being down there.

"I still think we're good enough to be at least half way up the league," he told BBC Hereford & Worcester.

City take on promotion-chasing Bishops Stortford without loan striker Marvin Brown, who has been recalled by Weston-super-Mare.

"Marvin has been recalled early due to their injury crisis and people going back from their loans so we are going to be short in that area," he said.

Dryden knows a look at the Blue Square South table would tell anyone that his side faces a stiff challenge against Bishops Stortford.

"They've got Charlie Sheringham who was at Welling last year and is doing really well for them," he said. "They've got quality through the side so we're up against it.

"But as I probably say every week the league is all over the place. You can go and beat the top of the league side one week and then get beaten by the bottom team two or three days later."
