Little unhappy with late lapses

Gainsborough Trinity

Gainsborough Trinity manager Brian Little was disappointed to see a two-goal lead slip as the Blues drew 2-2 at North Ferriby United in the FA Trophy.

Trinity led 2-0 with 10 minutes to go, thanks to a brace from Luke Beckett.

But the hosts fought back through David Cooke and Peter Davidson to force a replay at the Northolme on Tuesday.

"They threw everything forward in the last 15 minutes but I was disappointed we let them back in," Little told BBC Radio Lincolnshire.

"I was pleased with the first half but the second half was a typical cup tie.

"They got their break and once it's 2-1 you think, 'Hang on a second, anything can happen here'.

"But I always thought we were in control, they never looked dangerous and for a long period we were better than them."

The winners of Tuesday's third qualifying round replay will visit either Stourbridge or Southport in the first round proper.
