Hippolyte's team are unbeaten against Basingstoke this season
Maidenhead boss Johnson Hippolyte said his team "thoroughly deserved" their derby win against Basingstoke Town in the Blue Square South.
The Magpies led 2-0 with 10 minutes left, but goals from Gary Frewen and Fraser Franks levelled the match.
Maidenhead substitute Alex Wall then scored in injury time to claim the win.
"The supporters take this game very seriously, so it was important to the players to beat them," Hippolyte told BBC Radio Berkshire.
He added he was far from happy to see Maidenhead squander their advantage, having been 2-0 up thanks to second-half goals from Sam Collins and Kieron St Aimie.
"It was a dubious penalty, but then their centre half [Franks] scored a great goal He played a one-two with one of his midfielders then put it in the top corner from about 30 yards out.
"I was thinking we'd thrown it away. I brought a young lad [Wall] on who we think very highly of, who's just turned 19, and he scored the winner in injury time. "
"We've played them twice now and taken four points away, so it's a great effort from the young lads we've got."
Hippolyte added there was no hard feelings from the Basingstoke manager, former Scotland international Frank Gray.
"Frank was depressed because of the timing of the last goal, but he's a nice, honest man and I think he knows that over the course of 90 minutes, we did deserve to win the game."
