Brown/Rodgers face fitness fight

AFC Telford United striker Andy Brown and midfielder Carl Rodgers are still struggling to overcome injuries that have dogged them in recent weeks.

Rodgers (foot) passed a late fitness test and Brown (groin) also lasted the full 90 minutes in Saturday's 3-1 FA Cup home defeat by Lincoln City.

But neither is certain to play on Saturday at home to Vauxhall Motors.

"They will both miss training on Tuesday night," Bucks manager Rob Smith told BBC Radio Shropshire.

"We will assess them later in the week to see if they will be fit."

But Smith is pleased with Chris Nurse's progress after the midfielder pulled his hamstring in the previous round of the Cup against Blyth Spartans - and hopes to have him back for the FA Trophy trip to Stalybridge on Saturday week (21 November).

"Chris is at Lilleshall this week in a bid to get himself ready to play again," added Smith.

"We're aiming for the FA Trophy match against Stalybridge to bring him back."
