Woking chairman Shahid Azeem says the club is aiming for a more professional outlook despite their relegation.
The Blue Square South side's Cardinal's bar facility has received a facelift, and other modernisation plans are slowly taking place.
Azeem, who took over from David Taylor in the summer, told BBC Surrey: "It did need renovating.
"We cannot just sit on our laurels, we have got to start using these facilities that we have."
He added: "The idea is to exploit the commercial aspects of the bar area really.
"We've got car parking here, people looking for seminars and holding these events here, it should be open to the community as well, such as people holding birthday parties here."
In addition, Azeem said the £1m donated to the Conference member clubs by the Premier League will prove helpful.
"It's something that we weren't expecting to get so that's a real bonus," he said.
"We are very grateful for any kind of income from there and I think it's a great gesture from the Football Association to give us that."
