Boston snap up Newsham and Clarke

Boston United

Boston United have made a double signing, with strikers Marc Newsham and Jamie Clarke joining the Pilgrims.

Former Rotherham striker Newsham played under Boston's new joint bosses Paul Hurst and Rob Scott while on loan at Ilkeston Town last season.

Clarke scored 25 goals for Stamford in the Unibond First Division South.

Hurst told BBC Radio Lincolnshire: "It's important we add goals to our team and hopefully they'll take the chances we create."

The two arrivals come after former King's Lynn midfielder Mark Camm became the Pilgrims' first new signing under Hurst and Scott.

Boston are expected to announce further signings shortly.
