Harvey came home seventh in the first race in Barcelona |
Lincolnshire racing driver Jack Harvey will look to build on his impressive start in Formula BMW in round two of the series at Zandvoort, Holland. On his debut at Barcelona in May the 16-year-old from Bassingham came home seventh and 19th in the two races. Harvey said: "Zandvoort will be a level playing field for the rookie drivers as none of us have driven there. "I've watched video footage and spent time learning it on computer games but it's not as good as being there." The former karting champion added: "It's supposed to be a really great track and it will be the only event where we don't support the Formula One world championship, so it will take off some of the pressure from the weekend's timetable." Harvey faces back-to-back race weekends, with the races at Zandvoort on Saturday and Sunday being immediately followed by the third round in support of the British Grand Prix at Silverstone.
