Defender Matt Bloomer has left Boston United after two seasons at the club.
The Pilgrims had been in negotiations with the 30-year-old who was club captain last season but decided he could leave.
Joint manager Rob Scott told the Pilgrims' website: "We have decided to look elsewhere, but we wish Matt well for the future."
The Pilgrims are expected to announce a couple of new signings by the end of the week.
