Forsdick missed most of last season through injury

AFC Telford United defender Simon Forsdick has signed for Southern League Premier Division new boys Nuneaton Town after an injury-plagued season.

Forsdick, who had been suffering from a knee injury, played for the Boro towards the end of the season and helped them win promotion.

Telford's assistant boss Larry Chambers told BBC Radio Shropshire: "He wants to be guaranteed to be playing football.

"He did a great job here and we wish him well."

The defender had feared he would be forced to quit football if his knee failed to respond to new treatment.

But he made his comeback for Telford with a brief appearance against York City in their FA Trophy semi-final defeat.
