King's Lynn's ground has been deemed substandard by the Conference
Fans of troubled club King's Lynn are being asked to vote on the idea of setting up a supporters trust.
A group of Linnets followers want to have more of a say into how the club is being run.
A meeting about the idea of a supporters trust will be held on Thursday 11 June at The Walks ground.
Lynn will find out on Thursday whether they will be demoted from Blue Square North after their ground was deemed to be substandard.
Neil Timms, one of the fans behind the idea of setting up the trust, told BBC Radio Norfolk they are not targeting a seat on the club's board.
He said: "If a supporters trust has say 500 members, our average home gate last season was around 1,000, what business can afford to not listen to half of its paying customers?"
Financial problems emerged at King's Lynn during the season when players and manager Keith Webb were asked to defer 30% of their wages.
As well as being unsure of what division they will be playing in next season the club has no manager following the departure of Webb and no players under contract.
Timms is reticent to place the blame squarely at the feet of the Lynn board.
"We have no axe to grind, we are looking to form the supporters trust with the full support of the board of directors of King's Lynn Football Club," he said.
An open meeting to canvass the feeling of the club's fans on the idea will be held at the Blue and Gold clubhouse at King's Lynn's ground, The Walks, on Thursday 11 June with a 1900 BST start.
