Danny Kelly is due to take part in the European U19 Championships in June
Norwich City will hand their star academy player Danny Kelly his first professional contract from 1 July.
The Republic of Ireland Under-19s captain, who can play either centre-back or centre-forward, has scored seven goals in 27 academy games.
Canaries boss Bryan Gunn told the club website: "He likens to a young Chris Sutton, which won't do him any harm."
The adaptable youngster first joined the Canaries at under-16 level when spotted in a trial game for Histon.
Kelly has been called up by Ireland for a training camp prior to the qualifying of the elite phase of the European U19 Championships, which start in June.
