Unibond First Division South club Stamford have appointed Tuncay Korkmaz as their new manager.
The 36-year-old, who succeeds Dougie Keast, previously spent six seasons at United Counties League side Deeping Rangers, three of them as manager.
Korkmaz told BBC Radio Lincolnshire: "It's always hard to leave a club you've been with for several years.
"But it's a natural progression for me and making that step up with another local club is better in many ways."
Turkish-born Korkmaz began his career as a youth player at Fenerbahce and played in the Turkish lower leagues before moving to England where he played for several non-league clubs including Stamford.
The club has appointed Tuncay due to his motivational, management and organisational skills, plus his financial awareness and his hunger to produce success
Stamford statement
He said: "It's a club that I know, I already have friends here and I'm sure I'll make many more.
"My first target is to keep the players who were a success last year as the nucleus of the squad and then bring fresh blood to the areas we feel we need to strengthen."
A statement on Stamford's website said: "The club has appointed Tuncay due to his motivational, management and organisational skills, plus his financial awareness and his hunger to produce success at Unibond level."
Stamford parted company with Korkmaz's predecessor Keast at the end of last season, when the Daniels finished seventh.
