Billy Jeffrey has urged his Banbury United players to enjoy the break from the Southern League when they play in Tuesday's Oxfordshire Senior Cup final.

The Puritans, who are in the relegation zone in the Premier Division, face Oxford United at the Kassam Stadium.

"I think it will be a release really," the Banbury manager told BBC Oxford.

"At the end of the top priority is to stay in the Southern League Premier, but it will be a nice for the lads and nice for me to go back to Oxford."

Jeffrey, 52, played 353 games for the U's from 1973 to 1982 and had spells in charge of Stamford and Rugby before joining Banbury in March.
