Ryan Beswick's second-half equaliser earned Redditch United a deserved point at AFC Telford United.
Jon Adams scored for the Bucks against the run of play in the first half.
"With a bit more luck we could have had three points today as we put in another good performance," Reds boss Gary Whild told BBC Hereford & Worcester.
"We were mentally not on our feet, which is not surprising, but I expected more," Telford boss Rob Smith told BBC Radio Shropshire.
Ahead of kick off, AFC Telford paraded the Setanta Shield they had won on Thursday night to the home supporters.
The home side took the lead on 21 minutes and held it until the interval, but Redditch again raised their game as Ryan Beswick latched on to Jack Byrne's through-ball to level the score on 64 minutes.
Whild added: "The lads who have come in since the Droylsden fixture have been excellent and today has been no different.
"They had a big game on Thursday which was difficult for them, but we have come here and gone about our business," Whild said.
"I thought for the majority of the game we were the better side and created the better chances.
"It looked as though it was going to go against us but we kept plugging away and got a deserved equaliser," he added.
The draw took Redditch eight points clear of the Blue Square North relegation places but Gary Whild does not consider his side to be completely out of the woods.
"Today is another point towards where we want to be and the main thing is that we maintain that level of performance," he added.
Redditch face Blue Square North leaders Tamworth at Valley Stadium on Easter Monday at 1500 BST and there will be updates in a sports special on BBC Hereford & Worcester from 1400 BST.
