Nantwich Town made it one defeat in 22 matches with a 2-0 victory against Witton Albion on Tuesday.
Goals from Ashley Carter and Mickey Lennon cemented the Dabbers in third place in the Unibond Premier League, six points behind leaders Eastwood.
Manager Steve Davis told BBC Radio Stoke: "It was bit of a scrap, but the most important thing was winning.
"We've been on a hell of a run to get where we are. We just need another seven games like that."
Nantwich were promoted to the Unibond Premier League through the play-offs last season. And Davis thinks that experience will hold the team in good stead.
"You need a little bit of luck, and we certainly got that last season," said Davis. "Hopefully we get that at the end of this season as well."
