Southport manager Liam Watson has urged his players to maintain their composure as they head towards the end-of-season title run-in.
The Sandgrounders can move within three points of Blue Square North leaders Gateshead with a win against Tamworth at Haig Avenue on Tuesday.
Watson told BBC Radio Merseyside: "It will be very tight between now and the end of the season.
"Whoever holds their nerve will win the league," he added.
The Sandgrounders go into the game six points behind the top two - but with four games in hand on the leaders - and two in hand on Tamworth.
Watson believes if his side can play to their strengths in their nine remaining games they will have a realistic chance of promotion.
"Nine games to go, 27 points to play for and everything in our own hands.
"What we've got is what we've got. We just have to be big, strong and make sure with every performance we give everything we've got and if we can pick up three points, great," said Watson.
