Worcester City's battling 1-1 draw at Braintree Town was marred by striker Marco Adaggio being sent off after the final whistle.
Adaggio was shown two yellow cards as the teams left the pitch.
The 21-year-old was booked for his part in an altercation with Town defender Ryan Moran, and picked up a second yellow card for dissent.
Earlier, City's Ollie Barnes opened the scoring before Brad Quinton's strike earned a point for the home side.
Worcester manager Richard Dryden said that Adaggio can expect to be fined by the club for his actions.
"We will deal with it in-house but the decision might be made by the board," Dryden told BBC Hereford and Worcester.
"If you call the referee a disgrace you're going to get into trouble and Marco has."
Dryden added that he felt referee Ian Crouch had a good game and that Adaggio had let himself down.
The City boss was also critical of Graham Ward, who picked up a caution in the first half, and said that he expects better from his senior players.
"That's just down to ill-discipline and, given that we have only a small squad, we can't afford that and have got to be disciplined," said Dryden.
The result leaves Worcester, who are next in action at home to Dorchester Town on Saturday, lying 14th in the Blue Square South.
