Nick Pollard scored on his Hinckley debut to earn them a point against fellow promotion-chasers Alfreton.
The hosts had the better of the first half, going in front four minutes into the second period when Jordan Hall shot past Chris MacKenzie.
Hinckley's hopes suffered when Andy Gooding and Andy Hall were both taken off with injuries.
But they levelled against the run of play when substitute Pollard volleyed past debutant keeper Steve Dickinson.
