Alfreton Town boss Nicky Law has hailed Liam Hearn as his "best ever find" after seeing the striker hit a hat-trick in Tuesday's win over Burscough.
Hearn raced on to two Kyle McFadzean's passes for his first two goals and after Burscough made it 2-1, Hearn sealed his treble from close-range.
Law said: "Right now Liam is probably the hottest striker in non-league.
"I can honestly say that he is probably the best ever find I have made in football management anywhere."
The Reds have now won their last five Blue Square North games to move into the play-off places, Hearn playing a major part in their fine form.
Hearn's hat-trick is his second treble in five games and takes his tally to 18 goals in his last 13 league and cup appearances.
"If he doesn't score again this season he will have still done well for us with 18 goals," Law said.
"But I would fancy him to easily get somewhere between 25 and 30."
The Reds are at home against Blyth Spartans on Saturday and are also at home on Tuesday when Stafford Rangers visit the Impact Arena.
