Chesterfield have signed Wigan attacking midfielder Lewis Montrose on loan until the end of the season.
The 20-year-old, who has made two Premier League appearances for the Latics, goes straight into the squad to face Barnet on Saturday.
Chesterfield manager Lee Richardson told BBC Radio Sheffield: "He's 6ft-plus with a lot of presence and some style on the ball.
"I think it's something we've not quite had - a consistent playmaker."
Montrose played eight games for Cheltenham during two loan spells earlier this season, scoring once.

Richardson continued: "He's played at League One level, he did well with Cheltenham.
"He's certainly one for the future. He's quite an exciting talent."
