Worcester City were sunk by two goals in three minutes at Blue Square South leaders AFC Wimbledon.
City keeper Danny McDonnell saved a penalty in the first half as Richard Dryden's side impressed and went in level at half-time.
But goals From Alan Inns (53) and Joe Main (55) secured the home side's win.
Dryden told BBC Hereford & Worcester: "I think we deserved to come in [at the break] without conceding but they outplayed us in the second half."
He added: "We lost our concentration but there were loads of positive things to talk about at half-time.

"We turned off for 45 minutes and basic errors let people in, we looked a very average outfit in the second half.
"You can see why they are top of the league, they have two men up front who can destroy teams.
"We could have scored in the first half, Gary Walker had a great chance, and you look at that and a couple of free-kicks we thought were going in.
"But they made a change, we were a mile off and the back four were a mile off."
