King's Lynn director Michael Chinn has resigned from his position at the club due to personal reasons.
The businessman helped finance the Linnets during their push for promotion to the Blue Square North.
Lynn chairman Ken Bobbins told BBC Radio Norfolk: "It leaves us with four directors instead of five.
"He has been tremendously helpful to the club over the last two years, obviously his departure does leave us a little bit short".
The chairman reassured fans that the club had no intention of getting rid of any players and the situation would be re-assessed over the next two weeks.
