Cort scored his first goal for the Canaries against Wolves last week
Norwich striker Carl Cort thinks his side need to change tactics and stop trying to play their way out of trouble during matches.
He told BBC Radio Norfolk: "We try and play our way out of tough situations.
"It's nice to play in a team like that, but we're not in a position to do that at the moment, we've got to stop making basic mistakes.
"I think we have to be a bit uglier. We need to start clearing our lines and put the ball into row z," he added.
Norwich are dangerously close to the Championship relegation zone after the 2-1 defeat to Bristol City which leaves them just two points and two places above the drop zone.
The deciding goal came at the end of the first half when Gary Doherty was sent off for a foul on Dele Adebola.
The resulting penalty gave the Robins their winning goal.
