Alfreton Town have announced they have parted company with striker Leo Fortune-West.
The front man had struggled to find a place in the first team ahead of strike duo Liam Hearn and Paul Clayton.
Manager Nicky Law told the club website: "I just feel I need to freshen the squad up and to do so I needed to free some money up."
Marquin Smith, who missed the Derbyshire Senior Cup game at Buxton, will be returning to Carlton Town.
We have got ourselves into a good position
Alfreton boss Nicky Law
Law wants to shake up his side in a bid to secure a play-off place.
He said: "Unfortunately at the minute, the only players I don't want to get rid of I am getting asked about by other managers.
"There comes a point where you have to do something about the situation and the other alternative is to part company with people and that is the case with Leo.
"We have got ourselves into a good position and at this time of the season you need a different type of player, one who will adapt to the different surfaces and get stuck in for you."
