Win moves Alfreton into play-offs

Alfreton Town have moved into the play-off places after a 2-0 away win over Gainsborough Trinity on Saturday.

The Reds also extended their unbeaten away run in the league to nine games at The Northolme in the process.

Liam Hearn put the visitors in front on 38 minutes with man-of-the-match Paul Clayton netting the second 11 minutes from the final whistle.

Alfreton are now fifth in Blue Square North with 38 points and face Farsley Celtic at home on Saturday.
