Aspin hopes he can keep his squad together in the next few weeks
Harrogate Town's players have been asked to take a cut in their wages.
Manager Neil Aspin says the club are in the same position as many others in Blue Square North.
Aspin told BBC Radio York: "The players have been asked to take a pay-cut and basically we'll just wait and see what the outcome of that is going to be.
"We know that there's going to have to be changes at the club but, at the moment, I'm just trying to get through this difficult time."
Following their 4-3 win at Blyth Spartans, Aspin said he was unsure what the exact situation was but he was hoping to keep the squad together.
He said: "It's a case of everybody really pulling together but at the end of the day it's down to the players playing on the pitch.
"I think the main thing if you're a player is your level of performance. If you're going to be at Harrogate or if you're going to go to another club, they're all playing for their futures whether its here or elsewhere.
"But the thing that you have to do as a footballer is you've got to keep your level of performance up because you don't go anywhere better than this or stay at the same level if you don't perform.
"And regardless of what the circumstances are at the club I know that the players have got to do themselves justice in order to keep making a living at this game.
"I think if the club is going to go forward there needs to be some injection of money and it can't sustain the way things are at the moment, so there's going to have to be changes.
"But I'm not involved in the finances at the club. It's just my job to try and get us through this difficult spell.
"With everything going on I just want to keep the club stable.
"It might sound a ridiculous statement but, when you losing games and you've a possibility of losing players, your main achievement is looking for stability and staying in this league."
