Clarets unruffled by rivals form

Chelmsford City

Chelmsford City defender Ben Chenery said they would not be distracted by the performances of their Blue Square South rivals.

The Clarets head the table by three points from AFC Wimbledon, who have a game in hand.

"We can't be concerned about them. We've got to concentrate on getting points on the board," Chenery said.

"If they get points too so be it, but we've got to be resilient and get back to winning ways as soon as possible."

The Essex side held a six-point lead at the beginning of 2009, but have dropped five points in the last two games.

But Chenery, who is also the Clarets' defensive coach, refused to be overly concerned about the current state of play.

"There's a long way to go with so many twists and turns until the end of the season, and we may even see another team make a late season charge," he told BBC Essex.

"I'm sure it will be a tense finish but one we're looking forward to and I'm sure that with the right application, we'll come out on top."
