Sullivan has been disappointed with Banbury's start to the campaign

Banbury United manager Keiran Sullivan says he has no complaints after his team's 3-0 defeat at Oxford City.

The Southern League derby game survived three pitch inspections, but Sullivan refuses to blame the conditions at Court Place Farm for the result.

"In all my years I have played on plenty of pitches like it, " Sullivan told BBC Oxford.

"You get on with it. There are no excuses from us, we were beaten by the better side."

Banbury had been victorious in another Southern League derby against Brackley just 48 hours earlier.
