Law's Alfreton are in the second round of the FA Cup

Alfreton Town manager Nicky Law believes his side have great "quality in depth" after they beat Solihull 4-1 at the weekend despite four changes.

Josh Law, Leo Fortune-West, Paul Clayton and Ben Muirhead all missed the match, with Law having one eye on the upcoming FA Cup match with Scunthorpe.

Law told BBC Radio Derby: "I rested four players on cautions as a booking would see them miss the FA Cup match.

"The performance proved we have quality in depth."

Alfreton are now ninth in the Blue Square North table, six points adrift of the final play-off place.

"The first-half really was excellent. It was always going to be difficult to find the same tempo in the second-half, but we did what we had to do," added Law.

"It was important for us to get no injuries and it now stands us in good stead for our busy run of upcoming matches."
