Adams' two goals put Southend on the rack in their 2-2 FA Cup tie

Two-goal FA Cup hero Jon Adams has backed AFC Telford United to win next week's first round replay at Southend.

"I think we can put in another fantastic display to go through," he told BBC Radio Shropshire after a late equaliser saw Southend nab a 2-2 draw.

"When my second goal went in with seven minutes to go, that was the best I've ever felt, and I thought we'd done it.

"But don't take anything away from us - it was a special day, and the whole town should be proud of us."

Telford will face the replay at Roots Hall next Tuesday night (18 November, 1945 GMT) as the underdogs. But Adams warns that the Bucks are not finished yet.

"Southend will have been delighted to get another go," he said. "But we all fancy we can go down there and win."
