Newton Abbot players effectively went on strike over unpaid expenses
The South West Peninsula League have suspended Newton Abbot's membership over a breach of the rules.
The issue relates back to Saturday 11 October when Newton Abbot's players effectively went on strike.
The squad had been due to travel to Wadebridge but refused to play because of a row over unpaid expenses.
According to the League, Newton Abbott has also been unable to provide the names of anyone in a position of authority at the club.
"In the absence of club officials Newton Abbot AFC cannot reasonably fulfil their obligations to the league," said an SWPL statement.
There is still time for a rescue package, but that time is fast running out.

It continued: "The consortium who have attempted a rescue package have not been able to commit to taking over the club, but the reasons for that are not for the board to directly concern itself with.
"There is still time for a rescue package but that time is fast running out.
"In the event that these matters remain unresolved the next board meeting of the league, on the 6 November, will have no choice but to consider a motion to expel the club from the league for repeated breaches of rule 8.6 (failure to fulfil fixtures).
"The suspension can only be lifted if the club can satisfy the board that such responsible persons are put in place and authorised to act upon behalf of the club."
There were only two fixtures played in the SWPL on Tuesday night.
Cullompton played hosted to Witheridge, and secured a home win by 2-1.
Elsewhere third place Tavistock beat Liskeard 4-1 at home.
